Chris van Staden is a Professor of Accounting at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in Auckland, New Zealand. He teaches courses in Financial Accounting and Social and Environmental Accounting to undergraduate and post graduate students. His research focuses on corporate disclosure of sustainability information, especially disclosures on environmental and social matters. He has published his research internationally accounting and management research journals. He is the recipient of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at AUT Research Excellence Award for 2018.
